For AOI TOKHONGMUANG, a breast cancer sufferer, February 19th was a special and meaningful day.

On that day, she celebrated her 49th birthday and started her wonderful moment of reborn after torturous suffering from breat cancer. Zhou Aijiao, her attending doctor indicated that her tumor has already disappeared completely after comprehensive minimally invasive therapy and her breasts were perfectly preserved.

As a surprise, head nurse Wang Junlan quietly pushed a cart with a birthday cake on into the ward at 3:30 pm. According to the custom of Thailand, Wang Junlan carefully lit 9 candles. Engaged in nursing for 12 years, she has arranged birthday cake for innumerable patients and lit up countless candles and she always took it seriously.

“Happy birthday to you……”along with clear and melodious singing, the birthday cake showed up, followed by young and beautiful nurses and Thai interpreters. AOI put her hands together in surprise to express her appreciation.

We could tell from her face that she was happy and excited. She said to us, previously on her birthday, she always went to temple and prayed, to pray for health and happiness for her family. To her surprise, her birthday this year was celebrated specially in China.

“Share your happiness and you will gain more. ” AOI is naturally kind and loves to share with others. When there are Thai patients newly admitted in hospital, she will drop in their wards to share her anti-cancer experience and encourage them to be brave and to trust themselves and hospital. Today is her birthday. She doesn’t forget to share her cake with her friends.

*Surgery, in addition to the appropriate chemotherapy and radiotherapy, are effective in treating early cancer, but certain patients in late stage of cancer may not be tolerate surgery well as they can be relatively weak.
