For AOI TOKHONGMUANG, a breast cancer sufferer, February 19th was a special and meaningful day.

On that day, she celebrated her 49th birthday and started her wonderful moment of reborn after torturous suffering from breat cancer. Zhou Aijiao, her attending doctor indicated that her tumor has already disappeared completely after comprehensive minimally invasive therapy and her breasts were perfectly preserved.

On that day, medical staff of St. Stamford Modern Cancer Hospital Guangzhou prepared a birthday cake for her to celebrate such a happy day.

As a surprise, head nurse Wang Junlan quietly pushed a cart with a birthday cake on into the ward at 3:30 pm. According to the custom of Thailand, Wang Junlan carefully lit 9 candles. Engaged in nursing for 12 years, she has arranged birthday cake for innumerable patients and lit up countless candles and she always took it seriously.

“Happy birthday to you……”along with clear and melodious singing, the birthday cake showed up, followed by young and beautiful nurses and Thai interpreters. AOI put her hands together in surprise to express her appreciation.

We could tell from her face that she was happy and excited. She said to us, previously on her birthday, she always went to temple and prayed, to pray for health and happiness for her family. To her surprise, her birthday this year was celebrated specially in China.

She made a wish that “I wish I could live a healthy life and cancer would never return to me.”

“Share your happiness and you will gain more. ” AOI is naturally kind and loves to share with others. When there are Thai patients newly admitted in hospital, she will drop in their wards to share her anti-cancer experience and encourage them to be brave and to trust themselves and hospital. Today is her birthday. She doesn’t forget to share her cake with her friends.

Reached the cake from AOI, another Thai breast cancer sufferer Viengsamay Mixayboua felt elated, wearing a bright smile. She just finished a session of interventional therapy and looked fine, but she couldn’t get up yet, or they could pose a photograph together.

AOI said to her, “Fighting and get better quickly.” ”Ok.” they held hands tightly. They didn’t know each other before, now they became friends in MCHG. It was just fate that two strangers, from one country, met here for same reason and became friends.

“I bring you a piece of cake and wish you a quick recovery.” Colorectal cancer sufferer PRADEN NEAWPUNG’s heart was warm when he received the cake from AOI.

THEPTHONG VINIJ, suffering from bladder cancer, comes from the south part of Thailand, while AOI is from the east part. Though coming from different place, they became good friends due to AOI’ s enthusiasm. He felt very happy and wear a big smile enjoying the cake.

Destiny gathers people together no matter where they are. People will meet each other in somewhere someday.
