Among them, Ms. Asia, a breast cancer star from Indonesia, was invited to participate in the event. At the event, Ms. Asia was smiling, emotional, and passionate as she told her story and experience to the audience.
St. Stamford Modern Cancer Hospital Guangzhou, My First Choice
Ms. Asia, a native of Indonesia and a breast cancer survivor for more than 8 years, was diagnosed with ductal carcinoma of the left breast in March 2015 after finding a lump in her left breast and being examined locally. Ms. Asia was shocked and saddened. However, Ms. Asia soon pulled herself together because she knew that if she continued to grieve, her family would also be sad, so she had to be optimistic. Fortunately, Ms. Asia soon found a solution.
"After I was diagnosed with breast cancer, my brother-in-law called me that night and recommended St. Stamford Modern Cancer Hospital Guangzhou, after which I went to the office of this hospital in Medan with the report. At that time, a doctor from the headquarters was there, so I had a consultation with him, after this, I immediately strengthened my determination to go to the headquarters of the hospital in Guangzhou, China, to receive treatment, and I also arrived at the destination smoothly with the help of the staff of the office." Ms. Asia's tone reveals some pride in having chosen St. Stamford Modern Cancer Hospital Guangzhou from the very beginning, exclaiming in an exclusive interview before the event.
Minimally invasive treatment saved me from experiencing the side effects
In April 2015, Ms. Asia came to St. Stamford Guangzhou Modern Cancer Hospital. Upon admission and examination, Ms. Asia was diagnosed with stage III breast cancer. Our MDT considered Ms. Asia's condition and physical status and customized a comprehensive minimally invasive treatment plan based on "interventional therapy + natural therapy" for her.

It is the duty and practice of every doctor in the MDT to explain and inform the patient well before the operation. After thorough communication with the patient, the doctors then arranged 6 interventions for Ms. Asia, of which the results were very obvious after the third intervention, and the tumor was very effectively suppressed. in July 2016, Ms. Asia underwent a whole-body PET/CT examination at Singapore Hospital, and was pleasantly surprised to find that the tumor was "gone"! Upon learning this news, Ms. Asia's family members were overjoyed and were thankful that Ms. Asia had found the right and effective treatment right from the start. "Although there were indeed a variety of concerns when we first came here, with the step-by-step treatment, all the worries have disappeared, and now we see the tumors in her body day by day 'fade' down, we as a family are very happy for her, but also very grateful for the hospital's treatment!"

The most important thing about fighting cancer: reconciling with yourself
"This cancer has taught me to reconcile with myself and keep a positive mindset. Many cancer patients, when diagnosed, are scared or even give up, thinking that having cancer is the end of life. No, cancer is not the end of all life, we still have the chance to receive good treatment and we can still do more of what we want to do." At the event, Ms. Asia spoke of her own experience in fighting cancer and expressed her earnest hope that all cancer patients, who are fighting cancer, can reconcile with themselves and fight cancer positively.
Introduction to minimally invasive techniques
Interventional therapy, puncture under the guidance of medical imaging equipment, the use of special guide wires and other precision instruments, the concentration of anti-tumor drugs 2 to 8 times higher than intravenous drip drugs directly into the tumor, while the blood supply artery to the tumor embolization, to achieve the purpose of tumor shrinkage or even disappearance.
1、It has the advantages of small trauma, less complication, safety, and fast recovery.
2、It is suitable for patients who have poor effects of traditional radiotherapy and are unwilling or unsuitable for surgery.
*Surgery, in addition to the appropriate chemotherapy and radiotherapy, are effective in treating early cancer, but certain patients in late stage of cancer may not be tolerate surgery well as they can be relatively weak. A combination of carefully planned minimally invasive therapy, chemotherapy or radiotherapy can effectively reduce the side effects and discomfort of treatment and may help patient get better efficacy.
