Deepen International Exchange and Promote Medical Development Together ——Indonesian Medical Mission visited St. Stamford Modern Cancer Hospital Guangzhou

With the increasing convenience of cross-border healthcare, medical exchanges between countries are becoming more and more common. On April 26th and 27th, 2024, St. Stamford Modern Cancer Hospital Guangzhou welcomed two visiting groups from Indonesia for medical exchanges. During the two-day visit and exchange, our President Wang Huaizhong, Director of the Hospital Office Yang Jinna, Director of the Network Department Qiu Chang, and Assistant Director of the International Affairs Department Liu Yansheng warmly received their arrival.

On the morning of April 26, Mr. Taufik-Santoso, CEO of Indonesia PRIMAYA Medical Group, Ms. Leona, and their delegation of 10 people came to visit and exchange ideas in our hospital. After the warm welcome ceremony, President Wang Huaizhong introduced the basic situation of our hospital to the visiting group. He said that our hospital is a joint venture hospital between China and Singapore focusing on the minimally invasive treatment of middle and late-stage tumors, and it is the training base for integrated oncology of "Belt and Road" of the China Anti-Cancer Association. Featuring advanced minimally invasive treatment technology, the hospital has improved the quality and prolonged the survival period for many middle and late-stage tumor patients. President Wang's introduction aroused the great interest of the delegation members. Ms. Leona said that they have many hospitals in Indonesia, and during the epidemic, many patients who couldn't come to St. Stamford Modern Cancer Hospital Guangzhou were treated in their hospitals, therefore, in addition to visiting the hospital to learn about the latest technology of tumor treatment, they aimed to carry out far-reaching cooperation with the hospital in the future.

On April 27, Mr. Chen Hongxuan, CEO of Indonesia Dadi Group, and 26 group members visited our hospital. Mr. Chen is an Indonesian of Chinese descent, and the development of Chinese medicine in recent years is obvious to all. He has a strong will to introduce new technology in Chinese cancer treatment and cross-border medical cooperation.

After initially understanding the development history, management mode, and service concept of the hospital, the delegation also learned about the advanced minimally invasive cancer treatment technologies of the hospital, including interventional therapy, argon helium knife cryotherapy, seed Implantation, nano-knife, and so on, through the vivid explanation of Director Peng Xiaochi, the chief expert of the international oncology department of St. Stamford Modern Cancer Hospital Guangzhou. The delegation was deeply impressed by the minimally invasive treatment technology, which is different from the traditional treatment commonly used in Indonesia, with the features of less trauma, fewer side effects, faster recovery and precise treatment.

During the visit, the two delegations had a chance to explore various departments of the hospital including basic departments, minimally invasive room, information system, international oncology ward, and sky garden. They were impressed by the hospital's friendly and welcoming medical environment, efficient and practical information system, and well-organized hospital management practices. The visitors praised the hospital for its high standards and excellent facilities.

The visiting delegation expressed their gratitude for the exchange visit, stating that they were able to learn a lot of new theories and technologies. They hoped to further strengthen the exchange and cooperation between the two sides, in order to gather strength and seek common development. It is their aim to continuously improve the medical level and bring better medical services to Indonesian tumor patients.



St. Stamford Modern Cancer Hospital Guangzhou has been developing for 19 years, and with advanced minimally invasive treatment technology and comprehensive and caring services, it has brought hope of treatment to tens of thousands of tumor patients and formed a good reputation and wide international influence. With the settlement of the Belt and Road Integrated Oncology Medical Training Base of the China Anti-Cancer Association in our hospital, we hope to promote the development and application of new concepts and technologies of tumor treatment with all parties through more transnational exchanges and cooperation, and to tackle the challenges of cancer together, contributing to the global anticancer cause.


*Surgery, in addition to the appropriate chemotherapy and radiotherapy, are effective in treating early cancer, but certain patients in late stage of cancer may not be tolerate surgery well as they can be relatively weak. A combination of carefully planned minimally invasive therapy, chemotherapy or radiotherapy can effectively reduce the side effects and discomfort of treatment and may help patient get better efficacy.
