Ten Years of Working Together for Better Health--Filipino-Chinese Shin Lian Association Celebrates the 10th Anniversary of the Treaty of Friendship between the Two Sides in Our Hospital

From September 10 to September 11, 2023, the Filipino-Chinese Shin Lian Association delegation went to St. Stamford Modern Cancer Hospital Guangzhou to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the signing of the Treaty of Friendship between the two sides. St. Stamford Modern Cancer Hospital Guangzhou held a meeting to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the signing of the contract, Wen Yiming, Ke Zhichao, Jiang Xiaowei, President of the Filipino-Chinese Shin Lian Association, Lin Jinshan, Chen Guangxi, Honorary Presidents Shi Yurong and Zhong Lusong, Executive Vice Presidents Li Bingnan, Secretary General Huang Tianya, Huang Shuzhen, and other people, Lin Zhicheng, President of St. Stamford International Medical Group, Lin Daoxuan, Vice President, He Langbing, Director of International Affairs Department of St. Stamford Guangzhou Modern Cancer Hospital, and Qiu Chang, Director of International Network Department of St. Stamford Modern Cancer Hospital Guangzhou attended the event.



In the past 10 years, St. Stamford Modern Cancer Hospital Guangzhou has maintained close contacts and exchanges with the Filipino-Chinese Shin Lian Association and has jointly organized many activities such as free clinics, expert lectures, and medical lectures to provide medical assistance and support to cancer patients in the Philippines. At the same time, the hospital's overseas offices have also actively disseminated scientific knowledge of cancer disease prevention and treatment to the public, so that more people can understand how to effectively prevent and fight cancer, and this series of measures has achieved fruitful results and has also been loved and appreciated by the people in China and Southeast Asia.



On the evening of the 10th, St. Stamford Modern Cancer Hospital Guangzhou held a reception banquet for the delegation of the Filipino-Chinese Shin Lian Association at the Nanyang Changsheng Hotel, which was attended by Lin Zhicheng, President of St. Stamford International Medical Group, Lin Daoxuan, Vice President, He Langbing, Director of International Affairs Department, and other leaders.



At the 10th anniversary meeting, President Lin Zhicheng said that the friendly and cooperative relationship between the Filipino-Chinese Shin Lian Association and St. Stamford Modern Cancer Hospital Guangzhou has lasted for ten years. "As a friendly cooperative unit of the hospital, I am very grateful to the Filipino-Chinese Shin Lian Association for its full support to the hospital and for making important contributions to cancer treatment and development in the Philippines. In the future, it is hoped that the two sides will strengthen communication, carry out more free clinics, expert lectures, and other activities, and jointly build the health cause of people all over the world. ”



Wen Yiming, President of the Filipino-Chinese Shin Lian Association, expressed his gratitude for the warm reception of St. Stamford Modern Cancer Hospital Guangzhou and praised the hospital's service and technology. At the commemorative meeting, President Wen said that the cooperation between the Filipino-Chinese Shin Lian Association and St. Stamford Modern Cancer Hospital Guangzhou over the years has truly brought the knowledge of cancer prevention and treatment to the public, and brought warmth and hope to more patients in need. Regarding his expectations after the event, President Wen said, "I hope that we will take medical cooperation as a starting point to drive the development of China and the Philippines in various fields such as economy and culture, and continue to work together to provide more help and support for cancer patients, promote the popularization and application of integrated oncology medical knowledge, and keep more people away from the threat of cancer."



In addition, for the Filipino-Chinese Shin Lian Association delegation to experience and understand the quality of our medical facilities and services, the hospital arranged a VIP comprehensive medical check-up for the delegation on the morning of the 11th.



After the event, the two sides exchanged gifts to commemorate the deep friendship between each other. Ten years is a new journey, but also a new starting point! Let us join hands in the next ten years to create more brilliance!



Through this visit, it’s hoped that the two sides can further strengthen cooperation in the future, relying on St. Stamford Modern Cancer Hospital Guangzhou, the China Anti-Cancer Association's Belt and Road Integrated Oncology Medicine Training Base, to carry out work in the promotion of CACA guidelines, talent training,  cooperation and exchanges, science popularization and education, international remote consultation, etc., to jointly promote the spread of China's advanced treatment technology to the Philippines, promote the development of health, deepen bilateral relations, and benefit more Filipino cancer patients. We look forward to more exchanges and interactions between the two sides in the future and make greater contributions to the well-being of the two peoples.


*Surgery, in addition to the appropriate chemotherapy and radiotherapy, are effective in treating early cancer, but certain patients in late stage of cancer may not be tolerate surgery well as they can be relatively weak. A combination of carefully planned minimally invasive therapy, chemotherapy or radiotherapy can effectively reduce the side effects and discomfort of treatment and may help patient get better efficacy.
