To spread Chinese traditional culture and enrich the entertainment life of patients in the hospital, on the day of the Dragon Boat Festival on June 22, a Dragon Boat Festival theme activity of "Peace and Health on the Dragon Boat Festival,Zongzi with savory smell" was held in the 9th floor conference room of St. Stamford Modern Cancer Hospital Guangzhou. The event invited international patients and their families to celebrate the festival together. The atmosphere at the scene was warm and applause continued, and the patients and their families deeply felt the charm of traditional Chinese festival culture.

At 3:00 PM, the event began. Ms. Liu Yansheng, assistant director of the International Affairs Department, first came to the stage to send holiday wishes and speeches to the audience.she said: "The fight against cancer is a tortuous and protracted war, but no matter what the situation is, we must have hope and believe that we will eventually overcome the disease." At the same time, she also said that St. Stamford Modern Cancer Hospital Guangzhou will continue to fulfill the mission of "providing convenient and considerate high-quality medical services for humanity", providing great convenience and strong support for patients in the hospital, and advancing and retreating with everyone.

 At the event site, various fruits, Dragon Boat Festival specialty pastries, and other delicacies were filled with long tables. The entire scene was also decorated with balloons, ribbons, and other decorations, creating a festive atmosphere.In the elaborately arranged scenes, the Dragon Boat Festival activities are carried out successively in the order of the Dragon Boat Festival traditional culture preaching, traditional dress show, anti-cancer story sharing, talent show, loop game and Zongzi making contest. The scene was happy, applause and cheers continued, and everyone had a happy smile on they’re face.

In the anti cancer story sharing section, Mr. Hendry from Indonesia, who is suffering from colon cancer, first shared his story.he said that before coming to St. Stamford Modern Cancer Hospital Guangzhou, he had also received traditional chemotherapy, but the side effects of the treatment made him very painful, and then he was introduced by friends to our hospital for minimally invasive treatment such as intervention therapy and particle implantation. After two courses of treatment, the overall pain has been greatly alleviated.the tumor was found to have shrunk significantly after the follow-up visit,that is the reason he hopes that all patients and their families present here can learn from his experience about the way to fight cancer.

To the interactive game session, the audience was enthusiastic, and they raised their hands to actively participate in the game, and the laughter was full of the entire activity site.especially in the Zongzi making competition, in the video demonstration stage, there are many audiences who can't stand it and are eager to try. After the video demonstration, 3 patients were selected from each floor of the 6-8 floor to form a team, and with the host's order, the three teams had a fierce on-site competition.the members of each team are very enthusiastic. They gently roll the leaves of Zongzi with their hands, scoop up glutinous rice, add a few red dates, wrap them left and right, and then tie the rope tightly. Each team is carrying out the steps of wrapping Zongzi step by step.

The audience also cheered for the team on the stage,after a while, a full shape, attractive color dumplings wrapped. The contestant on the 6th floor said excitedly: "This activity is really interesting, our team's Zongzi also won the championship, really happy!"

After ten minutes competition ,the selection standard is to select the most beautiful Zongzi. Finally, the team on the 6th floor won the championship of this Zongzi making contest. The team on the 7th floor ranked second, and the team on the 8th floor ranked third regrettably.the above teams won the first, second and third prizes according to the ranking.after the game, the leaders took a group photo with each team. At about five o'clock in the afternoon, this activity came to a successful conclusion in the group photo.

*Surgery, in addition to the appropriate chemotherapy and radiotherapy, are effective in treating early cancer, but certain patients in late stage of cancer may not be tolerate surgery well as they can be relatively weak. A combination of carefully planned minimally invasive therapy, chemotherapy or radiotherapy can effectively reduce the side effects and discomfort of treatment and may help patient get better efficacy.
