On August 15, Prof. Dato Seri Warisan Dr. Fong Kok Onn from Traditional and Complementary Medicine Association Malaysia and Worldwide Integrative Medicine & Wellness Center SDN BHD visited St. Stamford Modern Cancer Hospital Guangzhou, aiming at learning about JCI management mode of cancer hospital and jointly discussing new discovery on cancer treatment and effects of medical regimen on cancer treatment.

In the morning, general manager of St. Stamford Modern Cancer Hospital Guangzhou Mr. Tu Xiaoming extended his warm welcome to Dr. Fong Kok Onn and his partner from Malaysia. He remarked, “I am much honored to welcome Dr. Fong Kok Onn and his partner from Malaysia, today we are here to share latest information on cancer treatment. Dr. Fong is an authoritative expert on cancer, and your contribution to cancer research is praised by the world. As a cancer specialized hospital, our hospital has been adhering to JCI's patient-centered management philosophy since its establishment. In the meantime, we are constantly learning and introducing new treatment technologies. For Dr. Fong to know the hospital in all aspects, the director of Quality Management Department Mrs. He Liangqiong led him to visit the overall environment of the hospital, including teleconsultation center, diet room, and VIP wards and so on. She noted, “As a JCI-accredited hospital, we crew are strict with JCI international standards, from medical care, service or even renovation, to flower planting, etc., in order to provide patients with a comfortable environment for treatment, and to help them get rid of the disease as soon as possible.”

After the visit, Dr. Fong and Prof. Peng Xiaochi, director of the oncology department of the hospital, conducted an academic discussion. Dr. Fong related, “This trip has given me a preliminary understanding of the technology of your hospital, whether it is imported from your hospital or homemade. Nowadays, minimally invasive technology is a cutting-edge technology. I also recommended cancer patients to your hospital for treatment, for I have learned about your hospital and the treatment technology before. Now I am more relieved. I hope that we will advance forwards hand-in-hand in the future, and build a better medical health platform for more cancer patients."

After the visit, Dr. Fong paid a visit to a Malaysian patient. The patient mentioned, "Dr. Fong is a very famous expert in Malaysia. I am really happy to see him in person. After minimally invasive treatment, I am now feeling much better, many thanks to the doctors and nurses here. I have been suffering from cancer for 9 years.
